PREGNANCY YOGA TO HELP PREVENT DIASTASIS RECTI [30 MIN]

Are you worried about abdominal separation (diastasis recti)? Or wondering what modifications you need to make to your workout routine now that you’re pregnant - whilst still doing what you can to support your core strength? Traditional sit-ups are off limits - but there are still lots of ways to gently strengthen your core and help prevent diastasis recti.

In this video - I go over some of the basics of working your core safely during pregnancy & why you shouldn’t ignore core work altogether.

✔︎ Focus on hugging in through the sides of the waist and front of your belly to cultivate gentle core strength & pelvic floor activation

✔︎ Continue gentle core work to ease lower back pain

✘ Avoid postures that result in ‘coning’ of the abdomen

✘ Avoid straining and supine ‘sit up’ type movements

Whilst hip pain in pregnancy is super common - making time for some simple strength & mobility practices can help you manage any discomfort. If you have hip pain try the following:
