I’m a newbie to yoga!

Don’t freak out if you are new to yoga! We give various beginner or rest options in each lesson so you can TOTALLY just take it to your own level.

I’m about to pop!

If you’re 349 weeks pregnant 😜 you might be worried if it’s too late to join Stretch & Glow! Don’t worry! We’ve got some great lessons that focus on breathing, meditation and birth skills & many women find the 3rd trimester their most “focussed” trimester as the reality of baby’s arrival in combo with maternity leave gives you that extra boost of motivation to take some time for yourself.

I’m having a c-sect…

Don’t you hate it when the ‘woo woo’ birth books basically exclude the experience of c-section? Yeah… I’m not a fan of that either - which is why here at Stretch & Glow - our lessons are designed to be inclusive for ALL birth experiences. While we DO share some pretty awesome birth skills that centre around active labour - you definitely WON’T feel left out if you are planning a c-section or need one for any reason.

I’m Planning a homebirth…

How wonderful! Our classes incorporate many of the skills you might want to be practicing right now to build strength, practice letting go, and tune inward to trust in your ability to bring your baby confidently into this world. Many hypnobirth & calmbirth techniques are grounded in yoga practices - so our classes alongside active birth tips are a fantastic complement to your birth preparation.

MY EVERYTHING HURTS!

Pelvic pain, back pain and hip pain sucks. BUT the GOOD NEWS is that we incorporate tried and tested strengthening and release techniques to address the most common pregnancy pains. If you’re experiencing ongoing pain - we recommend seeing a physio to get a diagnosis.

how do I cancel my membership?

Cancel at anytime from within the membership area under your profile picture > settings > billing. No strings attached.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY FREE 7 DAY TRIAL?

After your free 7 day trial you will be billed at $29/AUD per month or $14/AUD a week depending on your membership. If you decide that S&G is not for you - or if your circumstances change - cancel anytime from within the platform.

are classes ON-DEMAND OR LIVE STREAM?

Stretch & Glow is an On-Demand collection of 50+ prenatal yoga lessons, breathing & meditation…As a cool bonus - whenever we are live-streaming in our studio (usually twice a week except over xmas/new year) you’ll get a zoom link so you can tune in and practice with me in real time.

how do i know i am doing it right?

In each class we really encourage you to listen to your body and work at the level you feel ok with. We give alignment cues throughout & for more challenging sequences - we always give you the option to rest or take an easier version of each pose.

WHy choose stretch & glow? #truthbomb

When it comes to online yoga - the options are endless… and while we love that social media & the proliferation of apps have opened up the world of choice… quite frankly when it comes to pregnancy - do you really want to trust ‘just anyone’? #truthbomb

YouTube is also an option… (but then there’s the fact that you’re half way through a meditation and suddenly find yourself listening to an advert for prams, nappies or nipple cream #notideal).

Just like you want to trust that your midwife or ob/gyn has all the experience they need to guide you safely - don’t you want that same level of trust with your online prenatal yoga program?

Because the ‘yoga industry’ is completely unregulated… quite literally ANYONE can post a video on YouTube… You might be thinking “No big deal right? It’s just yoga!”

I think it’s important to know that there are SO MANY THINGS to consider when it comes to choosing an online prenatal yoga class that is going to provide you with pregnancy safe options that aren’t ‘one size fits all’…

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “squats are great for pregnancy and birth” …

But did you know that deep squats are not recommended if you suffer from SPD related hip pain, or your baby is breach at full term, or you have hemorrhoids? #sorrytmi

So yeah… while squats may be good in general in pregnancy… there are plenty of instances where they aren’t…

As a yoga studio owner - I’ve been teaching this stuff for the past 15 years.

When it comes to prenatal yoga online - I can give you modifications with my eyes closed - which is super important because all this stuff takes time to learn & understand and guiding you through practices to build strength, relax & prepare for birth is what I’m passionate about - which means a better experience for you.
